I realize that it's a mistake to think of IBM as a single entity, but still It's frustrating that they offer a newer version of something that they package in the OS distribution, but in a different packaging format. What version of Perl comes with AIX 5.1? And I guess more relevent to my situation, is there an updated version of Perl that comes with the maintenance updates to 4.3.3? I haven't applied any of the maintenance packages because unfortunately I don't have enough free hard drive space to fit the packages! I hope to correct that soon. -- Steven M. Scotten <s@p90.net>
